Last updated: 10 June 2026

Who we are

Arma Hire is a specialist vehicle hire company providing self-drive, taxi, and credit hire services across the United Kingdom. In this policy, "Arma Hire", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Arma Hire.

For data protection queries, contact us at Info@arma-hire.co.uk or call 0330 043 7861.

What data we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • The hire requirements you describe in the message field

We do not collect payment information, national insurance numbers, or driving licence data through this website.

Why we collect it

We collect this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, to provide you with a quote for vehicle hire services. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — specifically, the legitimate interest of both parties in being able to communicate about a potential hire arrangement.

How your data is used

Your enquiry details are used only to:

  • Respond to your message
  • Provide a tailored hire quote where requested
  • Follow up on an open enquiry

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

Data processors

Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form handling service. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy obligations. Submissions are forwarded to our email and are not stored indefinitely by Formspree. You can review Formspree's privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry emails are retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which they are deleted. If a hire agreement results from your enquiry, any data forming part of that agreement may be retained for the duration required by applicable UK law (typically 6 years for contractual records).

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data where there is no lawful basis to retain it
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email Info@arma-hire.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection:
